William Reed Commemorations

What a wonderful day today, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the arrival of Methodism in our village, complete with the arrest of the open-air preachers, William Reed and Samuel Thorne, on the Village Green. All credit to the re-enactors, flower arrangers, caterers and everyone involved. It was wonderful to see the Remembrance Day poppies repurposed for the occasion.
